Football Weekend!

This weekend was the official start of football for The Edwards Family.  Jayson played in his first Jamboree.  Scrimmaged two games and scored the first touchdown on the first play of the first game and scored the last touchdown of the second game.  I think he might be a pretty good Running Back!  It was fun to see him out on the field with his dad...the Assistant Coach!  Good stuff and good memories!

The same day we went to watch the MN Vikings take on the Seattle Seahawks at MOA Field.  Yep, more football!  It was awesome and they even won for us!

Even Mocha is ready for some football!  And look who joined us for football weekend via TX!!

She's All Settled In!

It's been exactly two weeks since Bre's been away at school.  We are SO proud of her!  She calls daily and thank goodness we have unlimited texting!  She has a rigorous schedule and has met many many friends.  She has been to church in Dallas and has had her first trip to Walmart!  Being in "no man's land" and making it to Walmart is quite an adventure I understand.

After her first week she was given her ministry placement also known as JOB!  She is extremely pleased where she has been assigned and it is only confirmation to our family that Bre is right smack dab in God's Will for her life!  We could not be more happy!

Besides crying over the speaker phone talking with Mocha, she has held up great.  She says, "I miss you guys, but I'm not homesick!"  Surprise surprise...NOT!  We knew she'd be just fine and I have a feeling that we might be visiting her more than she will be visiting us.
Hot weather + Bryana = "mom I really love it here!"

Welcome To Our BLOGOVER

I must say...if you don't have a family or business BLOG...now is the time to act!  I have had so much fun with our family BLOG, I can't even begin to tell you!  By nature, I am really not a very creative person, but BLOGGING will bring out your hidden creative side.  However, just like you can't get all dressed up and be ready to paint the town in some old sneakers....you CANNOT NOT have a fabulous BLOG DESIGNER!  I don't know if I'm alone, but I am inspired by "pretty", "fun", and "creative people"!  And with that I must recommend my designer...don't you share your hair stylist?  :)

I love the seasons.  They change and bring about new things.  It's the same way in our lives...Same family, different address, new look!  Hope you enjoy reading and I hope you're inspired to create your very own BLOG!

Saying Goodbye to Bre...

It's so hard to say goodbye...especially to Bryana.  As a matter of fact she won't let us ever say that...we must say,"see ya later!"

Bryana has wanted to go to this school since she was 12 years old and now the time has come.  She said her "see ya laters" all Summer long and boarded her plane on Friday morning.  Jayson and I laughed (AND cried) as she told the flight attendant 'good morning', (6am to be exact) in her very chipper Bryana way!  Such a delightful and loving spirit, she makes it hard for everyone to let her go.  As her mom all I could think of was, first you graduate, then you turn 18 and then you leave me??  All in just a couple months!  But, I have peace.  Peace that she's in not just "good" hands, but in GOD'S hands.  He orders our steps and He did just that for Bre.

We couldn't be more proud and excited for Bryana as she walks out this new journey in her life.  Stay tuned, it only gets better with Bre!

5th Annual DQ Date

For the past 5 years we have gotten together with our former neighbors for some Summer DQ.  We love seeing them and catching up!  Life can be so busy, but I'm grateful for the "Grandparents" God has put into our lives!  We hug, tell them how happy we are to see them and of course we giggle as they marvel at how big Jayson is growing each year.  Grandma Mary Lou always insists on buying the kids a meal and ice cream and never greets us without a fun gift.  It's the best!  I love it because no matter what our family may have going on in the Summer, the kids both know that meeting with the Deckers is top priority.

Grateful for the simple things in life.  See ya in the Winter for Applebees (our 7th annual tradition)!
